Jupiter gives salaries and positions of trust
A salary or a substantial gift gives this Fortune a distinctly Jupiterian route to provision. Inheritance and offices also belong to Jupiter.[1] They are substantial forms of livelihood for a Jupiter-ruled Fortune. A strong Jupiter favors a paid position or a benefactor whose help increases what the person can securely hold.
The qualification is severe in Book II. Benefics can act like malefics when badly situated as rulers, and the judgment then follows the ruler of the ruler. A weak Jupiter can receive help from the planet that disposes it.[1] That help can restore a source of income or make an appointment worth holding.
A capable Mercury can give a weak Jupiter means
Jupiter in Virgo rules a Sagittarius Fortune but is in detriment. Mercury in Gemini rules that Jupiter, has domicile dignity, and opposes the Lot from its seventh place.[2] Mercury’s skill can supply the means that the weak Jupiter lacks. An administrative appointment can depend on a skilled negotiator or an accountant who keeps its finances solvent.
