Lunar Mansions in Astrology

The lunar mansions are an ancient system of dividing the sky into 27 or 28 segments, each marking the distance the Moon travels in one day. Three great traditions preserve this knowledge: the Arabic manzils, the Hindu nakshatras, and the Chinese sieu. All three appear to descend from a single lost system of extraordinary antiquity.
