No. Core tools work without a precise time. When you want tighter accuracy, the built-in rectification flow tests candidate times against real life events to narrow it down.
Is this only for advanced astrologers?
Not at all. The interface starts approachable — guided views, plain-language summaries — and opens up into full technical detail (dignities, sect, time lords) when you want it.
