Saturn with an Aquarius Fortune can be part of an illustrious chart. Valens gives an actual example whose strength comes from more than Saturn’s domicile: Jupiter occupies the place of acquisition, while the Sun stands at the Midheaven counted from Fortune.

Valens judges this Aquarius Fortune illustrious
Valens’s example has Libra rising, the Sun in Scorpio, and the Moon in Cancer. Fortune falls in Aquarius in the natal fifth, with Saturn in the same sign. Saturn rules the Lot, has domicile dignity, and is in its air triplicity.[1] This is a strong Saturn even in a night chart.
Jupiter is in Sagittarius, the eleventh sign from Fortune. This is the Place of Accomplishment.[1] The benefic there gives the material judgment another favorable factor. Saturn’s ability to hold possessions is joined by Jupiter’s ability to provide gains.
Scorpio is the tenth sign from Aquarius, so the Sun occupies the Midheaven from Fortune. In this example the Sun also rules Leo, the calculated exaltation of the nativity. The solar position makes the birth even more distinguished.[1]
The earlier testimony is favorable too. The Moon is in Cancer at the natal Midheaven; Mars is in Scorpio in its own sign and night sect; Venus is in Libra in its own sign at the Ascendant.[1] The chart earns its high judgment through several strong planets, with Fortune organizing a further account of gains and rank.
Schulman’s freedom includes distance from society
Solitude is part of the happiness Schulman describes for an Aquarius Fortune. His modern interpretation values detachment and the freedom to follow one’s own path, including distance from society’s expectations.[2] His joy comes from an independent outlook and room for invention.
