Peregrine
ConceptA planet is peregrine when it has no essential dignity whatsoever at its current position, no domicile, no exaltation, no triplicity, no bounds, and no face. Think of a traveler arriving in a country where they do not speak the language, have no friends, no hotel reservation, and no local currency. They are not actively opposed (that would be detriment or fall), just completely unsupported, a stranger with no connections. Peregrine planets score −5 in the essential dignity system. In horary astrology, a peregrine planet is considered unreliable or 'up to no good' - someone acting without proper authority. In natal charts, peregrine planets must be entirely self-reliant, which can produce either resourceful independence or a sense of being perpetually adrift in that area of life.
