Firdaria

Technique

Firdaria is a medieval Persian timing technique that assigns rulership of life periods to the seven classical planets plus the lunar nodes. Think of your life as a school with different teachers: each 'teacher' (planet) takes charge for 7 to 13 years and runs the classroom according to their style. When Professor Jupiter is in charge, the curriculum emphasizes growth, opportunity, and big-picture thinking. When Professor Saturn takes over, there is more structure and discipline, but also more lasting achievement. Within each teacher's tenure, guest lecturers (sub-period rulers) come in for shorter stretches, adding their own flavor. Whether you were born during the day or at night determines the order of these planetary teachers. The full cycle spans 75 years.
