Fang, meaning 'a Room' or 'House,' is the fifteenth Chinese sieu, corresponding to pi, beta, delta, and rho Scorpii. Ruled by the Sun, this mansion was connected with the rearing of silkworms, one of China's most treasured industries.

The house imagery represents shelter, domesticity, and the cultivation of valuable resources within a protected space.

Fang belongs to the Azure Dragon palace, where the house represents the dragon's dwelling or lair. The Sun's rulership illuminates this domestic space, and the silkworm connection adds a quality of patient, valuable cultivation. The seven sieu of the Azure Dragon trace the magnificent serpentine creature from its horn (Kio) through its neck, heart, and tail, forming the most dynamic of the four celestial animals. In Chinese mythology, the dragon is a benevolent force associated with rain, rivers, and the fertile power of Spring.
