The 1921 eclipse in Aries arrived during the postwar disillusionment that followed World War I, when the idealistic promises of "a war to end all wars" dissolved into the murky realities of treaty politics and economic instability. The 1939 eclipse fell as Europe descended into World War II amid widespread confusion about alliances, intentions, and the true nature of emerging threats.

The 1957 eclipse in Taurus coincided with the Sputnik launch, an event that created genuine confusion in Western nations about their technological standing and security assumptions. The 1975 eclipse arrived during the final, bewildering days of the Vietnam War and the disorienting aftermath of Watergate.

The 1993 eclipse in Gemini landed during the early post-Cold War period, when familiar geopolitical categories dissolved and new alignments were unclear. The 2011 eclipse in Gemini brought communicative confusion during the Arab Spring, when the meaning and trajectory of dramatic events remained genuinely unclear even to participants.
