Triplicity

Triplicity is a mid-level essential dignity based on elemental rulership. The zodiac's twelve signs are grouped into four triplicities (fire, earth, air, water), and specific planets rule each element, with different rulers for day and night charts. Think of it like knowing people throughout an entire neighborhood: you may not own the house, but you have friends on every block. In Lilly's system (used in this app), the Sun rules fire by day (Moon by night), Venus rules earth by day (Moon by night), Saturn rules air by day (Mercury by night), and Mars rules water by day and night. A planet with triplicity dignity has a comfortable, cooperative relationship with its environment, scoring +3. It is weaker than domicile or exaltation but still provides meaningful support.
