South Node

The South Node (also called Ketu or the Dragon's Tail) sits directly opposite the North Node. It represents what you already know, your innate skills, default behaviors, and familiar patterns. Think of it as the subject you were already good at in high school: it is your autopilot setting. These gifts are real and valuable, but over-relying on them can hold you back from the growth your North Node calls for. The goal is not to abandon your South Node strengths, they actually support your North Node journey, but to avoid staying only in what feels comfortable. The balance between the two nodes is one of the central narratives of your chart.
