North Node

Celestial Body

The North Node (also called Rahu or the Dragon's Head) is not a physical object but a mathematical point where the Moon's orbit crosses the Sun's path. Think of it as a compass pointing toward personal growth: it shows qualities and experiences that may feel unfamiliar but important. It is like a career counselor who says, 'I know you are comfortable doing X, but your next stretch lies in Y.' Following your North Node often feels uncomfortable at first because it asks you to move beyond defaults, but leaning into it can bring a stronger sense of direction. The sign shows the qualities you are developing; the house shows where that growth unfolds. North Node in the 7th house, for example, may describe growth through partnership, especially for someone used to acting independently. Eclipses occur near the nodes, making those areas feel more charged during eclipse seasons. The nodes change signs roughly every 18 months.
