Conjunction
AspectA conjunction occurs when two planets occupy roughly the same degree of the zodiac. Their energies blend together like two paint colors poured into the same bucket -- you get a new, combined color that can't be separated. Venus conjunct Jupiter might feel warm and generous; Mars conjunct Saturn might feel like driving with the parking brake on. Conjunctions are the most potent aspect, and whether they feel harmonious or tense depends entirely on which planets are merging. They often represent new beginnings and concentrated focus in the area of life they touch. In traditional astrology, a conjunction isn't classified as "good" or "bad" -- it's pure amplification, a volume knob turned all the way up on both planets at once. Planets in conjunction act as a unit; you can't express one without the other coming along for the ride. This is the seed aspect that starts the cycle between any two planets, raw potential waiting to unfold as they separate.
