Void of Course Moon

Concept

The Moon is void of course (VOC) when it has completed its last major aspect in the current sign and will not form another until it enters the next sign. Imagine the Moon as a messenger running between offices (planets), delivering notes and getting responses. The VOC period is when the messenger has delivered the last note on this floor and is walking to the elevator to go to the next one, nobody is getting messages, and the office is in a lull. This happens every 2 to 2.5 days and can last from a few minutes to over a day. Traditional astrology holds that actions begun during a VOC Moon tend to fizzle or unfold unexpectedly, making it a poor time to launch new ventures but an excellent time for rest, meditation, journaling, and completing existing tasks.
