Planetary Hour

Technique

Planetary hours divide daylight and nighttime into twelve segments each, with every segment ruled by one of the seven classical planets: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Moon. Think of it like a playlist for your day, each 'song' has a different mood. A Mercury hour favors writing and communication, a Venus hour suits social events and creative work, and a Mars hour is ideal for exercise or bold action. These are not clock hours, they stretch and shrink with the seasons, since they are based on actual sunrise and sunset times. This is also how the days of the week got their names: the planet ruling the first hour after sunrise names the day (Sunday = Sun, Monday = Moon, Saturday = Saturn).
