Regulus

fixed_stars

Regulus is the brightest star in Leo and the single most universally honored star of kingship in the ancient world. Its Mars-Jupiter nature grants both the courage to act and the vision to lead, producing a powerful drive toward visible achievement and public authority. Now at approximately 0 degrees Virgo (having precessed from 29 degrees Leo around 2012), Regulus demands absolute integrity: any act of vengeance or pettiness can cause the native to lose everything it granted. The Babylonians called it Sharru (the King) and the Persians designated it Venant, Watcher of the North. See the full Regulus reference page at /stars/regulus.
